'Twas 2 weeks before Christmas,
And on this Philly of blocks,
Aunt Eleanor, hosted a party for friends and neighbors in silly frocks

The annual ugly sweater block party
Guests arrive in Philly styles,
All sparkles and tacky colors -Ubering in from miles.

Aunt Eleanore watching her friend’s little children,
Matias and Lily, the three partying like the truest of villdrens.

Villdrens, you ask! What’s that? Who are they?
It’s a Philly thing—no one knows—all the words run astray.

A mysterious guest appears bringing treats, sweets and a Philly Phanatic that some lucky kid might keep.
We all have a one- an eccentric relative - who not only enchants us but who also wears a wig.

A Baseball playing wind-up, a Harlequin doll,
perhaps a Hello Kitty or Hot Wheels, might just give you a LOL.

The magic of entertaining does not cease to subside,
In our quaint tribute to ballet—all the steps will abide.

A Wawa Rat King leads his mice troops,
to steal the Phanatic from under kids boots.

But it won’t end there so hang on tight!
As the sweet children put up a very good fight.

What ensues next, nothing short of pure wonder,
As snow falls and carries the kids off to a sweet slumber.

Sleeping and dreaming of what children adore,
Sugar and candy and chocolate galore.

Alas, we are not about perfection,
But rather a story centered on a love of everyone’s favorite- sweets and confection.

We share our tendues and pirouettes with plies of Philly, yo’,
As we all embrace each other and the pointing of the big toe.

Our world needs a little hope and a lot of good cheer,
as our community reflects and takes action to hug out fear.

Watching your offspring, your cute little spawn, helped to create this unique Philly Jawn.

Clap, oooh and ahhhh and throw lots of applause,
be bold in your expression of this great humanitarian dance Cause!

From our hearts to yours …
